The Religious Education department was recently honoured to welcome Richard Moore, founder of the Charity, Children in Crossfire, to speak to the year 14's, as part of their Religious Education programme. Despite losing his sight in very traumatic circumstances at the age of only 10, Richard has managed to not only achieve great personal accomplishments, but he has dedicated his life to helping those in greater need. His experiences and the lessons he learnt along the way provided Richard with a foundation and drive to help those in need, particularly children caught in the crossfire of poverty. What began as a tragedy ended as a triumph of the human spirit to overcome adversity. A truly remarkable and inspirational lesson on forgiveness and compassion.
