JUSTICE LEAGUE; MISSION DAY - BEING AGENTS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

A number of our Justice League students have opted to become Fast Ambassadors. They have received training; led assemblies and visited form classes to inform our younger students and their own peers about the work of CONCERN. They requested support for their own digital 24 hour fast, and were delighted to receive financial support, totalling £425, which was presented to CONCERN representatives on Mission Day 20th December. Our Justice League students learned of how eager our school community is to learn about global issues and seek help for others. Mrs McCool who facilitates the Justice League group, said their work was "...a very heartening example, showing how powerful our student voice can be".

Led by Mrs McAleese, our Mission Day fundraising was welcomed back this year. Our familiar Christmas markets took over our assembly hall once again, along with numerous other fun-filled activities, such as a Treasure Hunt, Year 11 'I'm a Celebrity' Challenge'; Football challenges; Loreto's Got Talent and our staff Christmas Fun Run, to name a few. All the efforts by staff, students and families, as well as the businesses who made donations have helped to raise an amazing £4000 which will be donated to Loreto Rumbek. Thanks to everyone for your generosity.
