Loreto College’s Year 13 English Literature students, accompanied by Mrs Little, spent Monday 13th March at the Heaney Homeplace.
During the day, the students enjoyed a tour of the permanent exhibition, time in the Creative Zone, a lecture by Professor Fran Brearton of Queen’s University, Belfast, followed by a seminar on the AS Level poetry anthology poems by Robert Frost and Seamus Heaney.
The students thoroughly enjoyed their day at the Heaney Homeplace, and returned to Loreto with renewed enthusiasm for their studies of poetry.
