BERLIN ADVENTURE FOR LORETO COLLEGE HISTORIANS
Just before the Easter break, 36 GCSE History students, accompanied by Head of History Mr Murphy, and colleagues Mr Harkin, Mrs Keenan and Mrs McDevitt, set off from Loreto College for a five-day trip to Berlin.
The trip had a packed schedule, which included a guided coach tour on the first day, a visit to the TV Tower, visits to Checkpoint Charlie, the Topography of Terror, the Jewish Museum, the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, the Olympic Stadium, the house of the Wannsee Conference, and the Reichstag Dome. While in Berlin, the group also enjoyed an evening’s bowling, several shopping excursions and of course, sampled some German food!
Arriving home just in time to celebrate Easter, the GCSE History students and their teachers had a wonderful experience on their trip of a lifetime.
