History Trip to Berlin 2019

Every two years, the History Department organises a trip to Berlin for its GCSE students. The most recent trips were in 2015, 2017 and 2019, when groups of students and staff spent an educational and enjoyable five days in Berlin at the end of October to complement their studies. On these trips. the students enjoy a very full programme of activities and visits. Highlights of recent trips included visits to the Brandenberg Gate, Topography of Terror exhibition, the Wahnsee, Sans Souci Palace, the Olympic Stadium, Stasi Prison, the Holocaust Memorial and the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp. On the 2019 Mr Bob Murphy, Head of History and trip organiser was accompanied by Mr Sean Murtagh, Mrs Schira McGoldrick and Mrs Maja Johnston.
