On Thursday 25th October a group of 45 Loreto College students, led by Mr L Shaw and accompanied by teachers Ms C Marron, Mrs M McCullough, Mrs M McGreevy and Ms J Wilson, left Coleraine for an unforgettable week in the USA. The trip centred in to two major American cities, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where the group spent six packed days exploring and learning about the geographical, historical and cultural significance of both cities and visiting the main tourist destinations. Highlights of the trip included visits to the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, Hollywood, Sony & Universal Studios as well as the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and California Science Centre.
The students and their teachers also greatly enjoyed tasting the wide range of foods available and of course the wide range of shopping opportunities on offer. The trip proved to be an amazing, unforgettable experience – the trip of a lifetime for everyone.
