11/02/2009 SUCCESS FOR LORETO COLLEGE SHOW JUMPING TEAM
A team from Loreto College Coleraine, Specialist School, took second place in the Novice class of the round of the Ulster Schools’ Show Jumping competition held on 19th January. With the competition running on a league basis, the team now progress against schools from throughout Northern Ireland.
The team-members Eimear McMahon (Year 11), Nicole O’Hagan (Year 9), Conal Gormley (Year 11) and Mark Gormley (Year 9) and their manager, PE Teacher Mr Paul Byrne, were congratulated on this outstanding achievement by Mr Brian Lenehan, Principal of Loreto College, who commented that the event was an exciting new departure for the College’s PE department, and wished the team well for the future stages of the competition.
